Today, Carbondale Police Department officers and staff met with Jessica and her team from Walmart, who generously donated $1,000 to support the department’s annual Community Christmas Store program. Each year, this program provides toys to children ages 1 to 10, and an annual coat-drive co-sponsored by SIU Athletics-ensures every child also receives a winter coat.
Interim City Manager and Police Chief Stan Reno expressed deep gratitude to Jessica and the Walmart team for their generosity, along with everyone who supports this initiative.

Donations of new children's gifts or financial contributions can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Carbondale Police Department lobby or the Civic Center.
