Red Cross Hosts Training for New Local Disaster Response Volunteers

The American Red Cross of Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas is hosting a local disaster response training session.

The American Red Cross of Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas is hosting a local disaster response training session.

While not first responders, the Disaster Action Team is usually the first members of the Red Cross to assist people in the aftermath of a fire, flood, tornado, or hurricane.

Training is open to anyone interested in volunteering and helping their local community. Lunch will be provided.

The Disaster Action Team training day will be on Saturday, March 8, from 9 to 5 p.m. at the Red Cross chapter office in Cape Girardeau.
