Gitau Leaving SIUC

Southern Illinois University-Carbondale’s Dean of Students will soon be leaving for a new post in a new state.

Northern Kentucky University announced earlier this month Dr. Peter Gitau will be their Vice President for Student Affairs starting April 1.

Gitau has served as Dean of Students at SIU since 2008. Campus Chancellor Rita Cheng calls the post a key position on campus, and says a search to replace Gitau will begin soon.
