Tower Square Plaza in Marion is undergoing a transformation.
Beginning this Monday, June 17, it will transition into a true roundabout. This means that motorists entering the square on all four sides will need to yield to those already circling. To alert drivers to this change, new yield signs will be installed on Sunday.
City officials say this update is long overdue and will significantly improve traffic flow during peak hours.
They say over 9,000 motorists and countless pedestrians make their way through this area daily.
