The US Army Corps of Engineers at Rend Lake is offering the annual Environmental Science Series. The series will feature free programs every Saturday from Memorial Day through Labor Day at the Rend Lake Visitor Center. The first in the series is May 27 at 10:00 am, noon, and 2:00 pm. A naturalist with Animal Tales Mid-South will present “Animal Science,” an educational and entertaining show about different animal types. Animal Science features a live bird, mammal, reptile, amphibian, and invertebrate from around the world. This is a free, family-friendly show. Seating is limited and only available on a first-come first-served basis.
The series continues Saturday, June 3, with another live animal show featuring nocturnal animals presented by Bob Tarter with Animalogy.
