The clashes of the Euromaidan, the Ukrainian Revolution of 2014, culminated in the ousting of Ukraininan President Viktor Yanukovych.

Carbondale United invites residents to a hands-on training designed to equip everyday people with tools to help stop violence before it starts. Facilitators will cover strategies like conflict mediation, trauma-informed response, and safety planning.

Participants will also receive a handbook, a certificate of completion, and lunch. The goal is to build community trust and reduce harm in high-risk situations. Space is limited.

The Violence Interrupters Training takes place Thursday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 309 East Jackson Street in Carbondale. To RSVP, email carbondaleunited15@gmail.com or call 618-967-9993.
