Du Quoin, IL – An Illinois delegate to the Democratic National Convention says the buzz is building for Senator Barack Obama as he prepares to accept the party's nomination for President.
Barb Brown is also helping to organize a rally for Senator Obama Friday night at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds after the State Fair's Twilight Parade.
Brown says the rally is a way for southern Illinoisans to wish their candidate well and to meet with other state and federal politicians who will help shape Obama's platform and message.
Obama will be in Springfield Saturday before heading out on a multi-city tour ending in Denver for the convention next week.
