Navy Band Great Lakes will bring festive cheer to Southern Illinois University with a free holiday concert on Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. in Shryock Auditorium, 1050 South Normal Ave. The family-friendly event will feature seasonal favorites and celebrate 250 years of Navy tradition.
Under the direction of Lt. David Harbuziuk, the concert is a family-friendly event, filled with selections of holiday favorites, honoring both the spirit of the season and 250 years of Navy tradition.
As the Navy’s ambassadors to the Midwest, the band performs public concerts and outreach across an 11-state region, connecting communities and supporting Navy recruiting efforts. The concert ensemble showcases the talent of active-duty Navy musicians.
