Springfield, IL – Helmets to Hardhats is reaching out to Illinois veterans to assist them in obtaining good paying jobs.
Joan Ryan with the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs says the G-I Bill can be applied towards on the job training.
The Teamsters Union and the Illinois Department of Employment Security have teamed up to bring job fairs to veterans across the state.
Earlier this month, Congress passed a bill approving an additional 3-million dollars for the Helmets to Hardhats program.
