Washington D.C. – Private funeral services are planned Thursday for the daughter of U-S Senator Dick Durbin, who died from complications related to a congenital heart condition.
Christine Durbin died Saturday in a Washington area hospital at the age of 40. She was the oldest daughter of the Illinois democrat.
Thursday's services will be limited to family and close friends and will be held in suburban Maryland, outside Washington.
Christine Durbin worked for 16 years for the U-S Department of Agriculture in the Emerging Markets division.
A spokesman says the Durbin family is touched and grateful for the outpouring of support they've received.
