Springfield, IL – Some lawmakers have reservations about Governor Quinn's proposal to raise taxes and cut services, but say they will withhold their opinions until they get more specifics.
Okawville State Senator Dave Luechtefeld says he's not quite sure what to think about many of Quinn's proposals until lawmakers learn more about some of the plan's finer points.
State Representative John Bradley of Marion says the General Assembly owes it to the people of Illinois to make this budget process as transparent as possible.
Bradley says this is a drastic plan, but admits the state is facing a monumental task to cut a budget deficit that could exceed 11 billion dollars.
