Franklin County Man Killed in a Woodchipping Accident

Marion, IL – The Williamson County Coroner is investigating a death of a West Frankfort man Thursday.

Coroner Junior Burke says 46-year old Mark Davis was pronounced dead just before one o'clock yesterday. Davis was rushed to Heartland Regional Medical Center around 11:45am.

Burke says Davis was an employee of DS Tree Service, and working with a wood chipper at a home in Marion when he was injured.
