Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Du Quoin Man

Marion, IL – A DuQuoin man was killed over the weekend in a motorcycle accident in Williamson County.

Coroner Junior Burke says 48-year old Dudley Lee Van Zandt was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck, on northbound Interstate 57 just north of Route 148.

Investigators say Van Zandt was northbound on his motorcycle, when it hit another biker. Illinois State Police, Williamson County Sheriff's Deputies and the Coroner's Office are looking into the crash.
