Illinois Public Radio's Sam Hudzik reports on the latest debate between Bill Brady and Pat Quinn.

Chicago, IL – Candidates for Illinois governor are linking their opponents to convicted previous governors.

Republican Bill Brady repeatedly connected Gov. Pat Quinn to ex-Gov. Rod Blagojevich during a gubernatorial debate yesterday (Wednesday) evening.

Blagojevich has been convicted of lying to the FBI and faces retrial on corruption charges.

Meanwhile, Quinn says Brady supported former Gov. George Ryan, who is serving a prison sentence for corruption.

Quinn and Brady squared off in Chicago at WLS-TV. The debate has highlighted key differences on social issues between the two.

The debate was hosted by the League of Women Voters of Illinois. It didn't include the Green Party's Rich Whitney, Independent Scott Lee Cohen or Libertarian Lex Green.
