New Faces Elected to Carbondale City Council

By Jeff Williams

Carbondale, IL – There will be two new faces on the Carbondale City Council.

Don Monty and Jane Adams were elected to fill two of the three open council seats. Monty was the highest vote getter with a little more than 18-percent... followed by Adams with a little more than 17-percent of the vote.

Former City Council member Lance Jack had the third highest vote total with 11-and-a-half percent. Jack resigned his seat late last year in order to obtain a liquor license for his Carbondale restaurant.
