Carbondale, IL – The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive tomorrow in Carbondale. Donors can stop by Memorial Hospital of Carbondale from 11:00am-4:00pm. Blood donations traditionally dip during the summer months, so the Red Cross encourages everyone to try to give. For more information, call (800)GIVE LIFE.

Wabash Valley College is offering a free GED class beginning this week in Mt. Carmel. Classes will meet each Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am-12:30pm. For more information or to register, call (618)262-8641 ext. 3412.

SIUC will honor two iconic buildings during a special presentation at Morris Library this Wednesday. "Remembering Old Main" is scheduled for 3:00pm Wednesday, June 8 in the Library's Guyon Auditorium. For more information, call Gordon Pruett at (618)453-1660.

Mt. Vernon's C.E. Brehm Memorial Library will host "A Midsummer Knight's Read" this summer. The summer reading program features programs, awards and readings through June and July. For more information, call (618)242-6322.
