Du Quoin Officials Cancel Back to School Party Because of COVID Spread Fears

A back to school party planned for Friday in Du Quoin has been canceled because of fears it could spread COVID-19.

The decision was made after meetings with Du Quoin Public Safety, Fire, Police and District 300 officials.

The parties involved felt they couldn't take the appropriate measures to sanitize the entire park for a completely safe environment.
