Du Quoin High School Pauses Athletics and Extra-Curricular Activities due to COVID

Due to the rise in COVID-related cases, Du Quoin High School is pausing all athletics and extra-curricular activities until next week.

The school announced on social media this means the canceling of varsity, junior varsity and freshmen football games against Harrisburg, two volleyball matches as well as all golf matches and cross country meets.

Football and volleyball could return to practice as soon as Tuesday. School leaders will make that determination on Tuesday morning.

A similar notice came out Tuesday from Hamilton County High School. So, the Foxes' football opponent scheduled for Friday (CZR) will now play Harrisburg this Friday since both have lost their originally scheduled games.
