On this segment of InFocus, SIU Geology Professor Ken Anderson talks about his work de-constructing waste carbon and liquefying it, in order to feed microbes deep underground and thus helping to reduce planet-warming carbon in the Earth's atmosphere.
Anderson is working as a part of a team of SIU Researchers, competing with 22 other teams around the world for the Xprize Carbon Removal Challenge funded by Elon Musk and the Musk Foundation.
