Country music legend Dolly Parton has reached another milestone

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "ROCKSTAR")

DOLLY PARTON: (Singing) I'm a rock star.

MICHEL MARTIN, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Michel Martin. Country music legend Dolly Parton has reached another milestone. Her new album, "Rockstar," debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 this week, making it the highest charting album in her career. And did we mention she is 77? "Rockstar" was inspired by her 2022 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and it features new original tracks and contributions from other music legends, including Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks and Elton John. Rock on, Dolly. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
