SIU Credit Union has purchased new office space in Carbondale last week to accommodate recent growth and future expansion.
A news release from the Credit Union reports the final paperwork was signed last week for the not-for-profit financial institution's corporate office to take over the former Aetna offices within the University Mall in Carbondale. There are plans to relocate some staff members and several departments later this year.
Officials say no branch locations will be moved, and day-to-day activity will remain the same for members.
The SIU Credit Union has six locations, which include two in Carbondale and one in Marion, Energy, Metropolis and Harrisburg.
