PAD is the leading cause of amputations in the U.S. and impacts more than 12-million Americans.

Have you ever heard of PAD? Chances are you haven't - even though it is the leading cause of amputations in the U.S. and impacts more than 12-million Americans annually. Peripheral Artery Disease also disproportionately impacts black and brown populations.

A new campaign, Get a Pulse on PAD, aims to raise awareness of Peripheral Artery Disease. WSIU's Jeff Williams recently talked with Dr. Anahita Dua, a vascular surgeon and associate professor of surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School about PAD.
