Saluki basketball assistant Jerrance Howard retained by new head coach Scott Nagy

New SIU's men's basketball head coach Scott Nagy will retain assistant coach Jerrance Howard on staff.

Howard will enter his second season with the Salukis after working last season under head coach Bryan Mullins.

Howard has nearly two decades of collegiate coaching experience, including stops at Texas, Kansas, SMU and Illinois.

He is known to be one of the nation's top recruiters.

Nagy was officially announced as the Salukis' 15th head coach in program history on Thursday. He coached the previous eight seasons at Wright State.
