The 2025 Du Quoin State Fair is officially underway. IL Governor JB Pritzker along with former SIU System President Glenn Poshard and several other local and state officials cut the ribbon Friday afternoon at the state fair grounds in Du Quoin.
Poshard also served as Grand Marshall for the annual Twilight Parade. The Du Quoin State Fair has a rich history in southern Illinois dating back to it's beginning in 1923.
Friday night is family night at the fair and includes free parking. Saturday is Governor's Day at the Fair. It features the Sizemore MX Race beginning at noon on the half-mile track and singer David Lee Roth headlines the Grandstand entertainment in concert at 7:30pm.
The 2025 Du Quoin State Fair runs through Monday, September 1st.
