A free, virtual talk on the impact of climate change will take place on May 26.  State climate expert Trent Ford will highlight the evening.

One of the sponsors is Food Works of southern Illinois. Executive Director Jennifer Paulson says the talk will focus on how recent weather changes hurt farmers, who tell her because of the wide weather swings., farmers are finding it harder to plan ahead.

Paulson says:   "They're needing to protect their crops with covers, or, think about what time of year they actually plant."

To tune in to the zoom workshop, call 618-370-3287.  If you can't watch it live the field day will be posted online for viewing later. For more information, contact  Jennifer Paulson, Executive Director of Food Works of Southern Illinois at  jennifer@fwsoil.org

The other partner of the event is the non-profit Prairie Rivers Network.
