Artspace 304 announces the Problem Gambling Awareness Art Show, opening Thursday, June 27, from 5-7 pm. This exhibition features the "Are You Really Winning?" art competition, aiming to raise awareness about problem gambling. The contest received entries from high school students and adults across Illinois.
Award recipients include:
- Adrienne McConkie, Sycamore, IL, for "Finding Help" (painting)
- Pamela Penney, Oak Park, IL, for "Send Help" (textile installation)
- Mackenzie Hulke, Normal, IL, for "Addiction" (photograph)
The exhibition will begin in Carbondale, IL, and travel statewide. Join us for the opening reception with refreshments and remarks by Jim Wilkerson from IDHS. Event parking is available at the First Christian Church on W Monroe St and S University Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
