2024 Veterans Day Flag Vigil and Ceremony
In honor of Veterans Day, Army and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadets will conduct a vigil at the flagpole from 6:00 AM until Noon with change of guards every 15 minutes. At 11:00 the ceremony begins and will include a proclamation from the Mayor of Carbondale, comments by Martin Parsons, a veteran and SIUC Alumnus and laying of a wreath with playing of Taps by the SIUC Trumpet Studio under the leadership of Dr. Ricky Spears.
