2nd Annual Family Eco Festival

2nd Annual Family Eco Festival
Area Teachers Host Environmental Sustainability Festival
Teachers with the Southern Illinois University River Region Master Teaching Fellows Program will host the second annual Family Eco Festival at Alto Vineyards on September 30th from 1-5pm.
This is a fundraiser for the nonprofit organization, Innovations in STEM Education; money raised from the event will fund grants to distribute to local teachers in need of science materials.
Hands-on science stations at the event will include tardigrades and microscopes, eco-arts and crafts, solar eclipse activities, and environmental education. There will be live music, authentic Mexican food, and an ice cream truck offered throughout the day. Fundraising includes a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and donations. This is a family-friendly event with fun to be had for all ages!
Sponsors for the event are the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program, Alto Vineyards, Southern Illinois Community Foundation, and the National Science Foundation.
