St. Louis Classical Guitar welcomes classical guitarist and composer David Leisner for a solo concert on Saturday, October 18th, at 7:30pm at Salem United Methodist Church. This concert is part of the Guitar Masters Series.
David Leisner is an extraordinarily versatile musician with a multi-faceted career as an electrifying performing artist, a distinguished composer, and a master teacher. David Leisner’s career began auspiciously with top prizes in both the 1975 Toronto and 1981 Geneva International Guitar Competitions. Described as “Among the finest guitarists of all time…” by the American Record Guide, our special guest has also recently been presented with the 2026 Celedonio Romero Lifetime Achievement Award. Leisner has been a member of the guitar faculty at the Manhattan School of Music since 1993.
