A church in Marion is doing what it can to help the community and offer some relief.

The Refuge Temple Church in Marion will be giving away 1000 boxes of food every Monday until Christmas.

The weekly mobile pantry will distribute various dairy, produce and possibly meat to bring some relief to those affected by COVID-19.

Pastor Larry Lee says he’s happy to help his community during these overwhelming times.

“I’m going to try to get a truck as long as this pandemic is going on and all this stuff whether it be people not working and some have been laid off and it’s just a time of need and so that’s why I really want to do it once a week and I’m able to do that and hopefully I can keep it going.”

The boxes will be first come first serve.
