Shawnee Community College has a new CEO.
The Board of Trustees Tuesday selected Tim Taylor as the school's ninth president. He beat out seven other finalists for the position.
Most recently, Taylor served as school president at Oakland Community College in Michigan. Prior to this, he was the head of Frontier Community College in Fairfield.
Taylor earned his bachelor's degree in Electronics Management and his master's degree in Vocational Education from Southern Illinois University.
Taylor will succeed Peggy Bradford, who announced her departure in March 2019 after a tenure marked by controversy, with faculty complaining about her leadership and decisions.
