WSIU's Brad Palmer visits with Jonna Piercy, a kindergarten teacher at Spring Garden Elementary School in Mt. Vernon. Piercy was just named a regional Teacher of the Year by the Illinois State Board of Education. She is now one of ten finalists for the statewide Teacher of the Year award. The winner will be announced on October 21.
