Carbondale Elementary School District 95 is beginning the search for a new Superintendent.
Janice Pavelonis has submitted her resignation. Her last day will be on June 30th. A written release from the district says Pavelonis has accepted a superintendent position in a school district outside of southern Illinois.
Pavelonis says she remain committed to finishing this academic year strong and facilitating a smooth transition in leadership.
Pavelonis served as Carbondale Elementary School Superintendent for eight years.
