Cape Girardeau County reported its first death from COVID-19 on Tuesday.
The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center says the victim was a resident in their 80's. No further details are being provided at this time due to privacy laws.
There are 20 total cases of the virus in Cape County and four people have recovered.
The Perry County, Missouri Health Department had added three new cases, bringing the county's total to 31. Officials report eight people with the virus have recovered.
