In southern Illinois, several counties are reporting new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Jackson County reports three more cases - a woman in her 20s, a man in his 30s, and a man in his 60s. All three are in isolation. They bring the total number of positive cases to 69 in Jackson County, including seven deaths. Twenty-five people have recovered.
In Jefferson County, four additional cases were logged - a girl in her teens, a man his 20s, a man in his 40s, and a woman in her 60s. All are isolating at home. In addition, two women - one in her 80s and one in her 90s - died of as a result of COVID-19. Both were residents at a long-term care facility, according to the health department.
Perry County is reporting two additional cases - a man in his 20s and a man in his 40s. Perry County's total confirmed cases is now nine. Health officials say 158 people have tested negative.
In Williamson County, three additional cases were reported. A man in his 40s, a woman in her 70s, and a woman in her 50s. All are reportedly isolating at home - the woman in her 50s works at a long-term care facility and the health department says all residents and staff at that facility have now been tested. Williamson County's total positive cases is now 25, with ten having recovered.
