Southern Illinois still has seven counties in warning status for COVID-19 restrictions, but the list has changed this week.
Gallatin, Jackson, Perry, and Saline County are still included for high infection rates and other factors. But Monroe, St. Clair, Union, and Williamson Counties have been added this week, for many of the same reasons. All but Williamson County made the list for positivity rates above 8% - though Williamson County's warning status includes a high number of Emergency Room visits for patients with COVID-like symptoms.
Johnson, Randolph, and White Counties were previously on the warning list - their statistics fell back below the threshold this week.
