SIH Herrin Hospital Auxiliary donates $100,000 for equipment

The SIH Herrin Hospital Auxiliary presented 100-thousand dollars to hospital leadership Wednesday morning.

SIH says the funds will be used for a variety of equipment, including a safe-patient handling ceiling lift; specialized low air loss mattresses for wound prevention and special simulators to facilitate muscular response in patients with paralysis and neurological injuries.
