Planned Parenthood of Illinois opens its doors to a new eleven thousand square foot health center at 200 Emerald Lane in Carbondale, Illinois.

On December 19, Planned Parenthood of Illinois opened its doors to a new 11,200-square-foot health center at 200 Emerald Lane in Carbondale, Illinois. The facility plans to expand reproductive health care access for Illinois residents and out-of-state residents.

Jennifer Welch, the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Illinois, says, "Our new health center makes reproductive health care more accessible for communities across southern Illinois... PPIL welcomes all patients regardless of their zip code."

The health center offers services such as cancer screenings, birth control, STI testing and treatment, gender-affirming health care, HIV testing and medication, and abortion.

Planned Parenthood of Illinois' RESOLVE Campaign made the Carbondale facility possible, which raised $40 million to improve sexual and reproductive health care for those in the area.
