In an effort to encourage a more positive outlook for children in the community, the Hardin County Sheriff's Department says it has created a Junior Deputy Program in the elementary school.
Students who display outstanding citizenship, encourage others, show respect for fellow students and staff and display all-around exemplary behavior are chosen bi-weekly to represent the school as a Junior Deputy.

Junior Deputies work closely with the sheriff's office and assist in playground patrols and other duties throughout the school day.
