Cape Girardeau Murder Victim Identified

The victim of an apparent murder in Cape Girardeau has been identified.

The Cape Girardeau Police Department says the victim has been positively identified as 53-year-old Richard Reeves from Decatur, Michigan.
The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad has been activated to investigate a homicide Wednesday morning at an apartment complex on South Spring Street. Officers responded to a 911 call and discovered Reeves had been struck by multiple gun shots inside of a second floor apartment. He later died at a local hospital. 

The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad says it's currently investigating multiple leads.
