Murphysboro Man Sentenced For Stabbing Girlfriend's Son

A Murphysboro man has been sentenced to prison after a stabbing incident last fall.

The Jackson County State's Attorney says 39-year-old Russell Dean Conder received a four-year sentence for Aggravated Domestic Battery.
The incident occurred last Octoberduring a physical altercation between Conder and his girlfriend. The girlfriend’s teenage son tried to intervene, and Conder stabbed the teenager several times.

Conder pleaded guilty but mentally ill.
