A neighborhood organization in Carbondale is trying to be pro-active to stop violence from growing in its midst.

The Arbor District Neighborhood Association reports it has had a rash of shootings, including one on Monday when a neighbor's video doorbell recorded the shooter and the gunshots in his front yard.

The association stresses these shootings MUST stop before someone is injured or killed.

The Arbor District is holding a meeting with city officials this Sunday, Jan. 8 at 3 p.m.at St. Xavier Parish Hall in Carbondale.
