Shawnee Community College is hosting a criminal justice conference June 23rd and 24th.
The Southernmost Illinois Conference on Criminal Justice takes place this weekend.
The theme is “Reformation, Restoration and Re-Entry” and has multiple sessions over two days.
The topics include advocating for public policy, legal aid services, advocating for children with incarcerated parents and more.
Attendance counts as continuing legal education hours in Illinois and Missouri and social workers can use it as continuing education units.
Friday night features a fine art show with performances on both Friday and Saturday.
Registration is required to attend.
