The Illinois Attorney General’s office has charged a Wayne County man with possession of child pornography.

The AG's office charged 53-year-old Brian Wallace of Fairfield with 11 counts of possession of child pornography, Class 2 felonies each punishable by up to seven years in prison.

Attorney general investigators, with the assistance of the Wayne County Sheriff’s office, conducted a search of Wallace’s residence in the 1900 block of Illinois Highway 15 in Fairfield and arrested him after discovering evidence of child pornography.

The case is part of AG Kwame Raoul’s ongoing work, in collaboration with federal law enforcement agencies and local law enforcement officials throughout Illinois, to arrest those who download and trade child pornography online.
