Senator Dale Fowler and Southern Illinois Chambers of Commerce are bringing the Southern Illinois Made Expo back to Marion this month. The event showcases a wide range of vendors offering unique and locally-based products, services and destinations all while raising funds for local charities. This year, all proceeds from the expo will benefit Veterans Equine Therapeutic Services which is operated through the Specialized Equine Services at Giant City Stables. The non-profit organization is dedicated to providing therapeutic horseback riding for local veterans with mental, physical, social, emotional and cognitive disabilities. In a recent release, Senator Fowler stated that everyone involved is excited to bring more funds and awareness to the important work being done by the veteran-focused organization. You can help by attending the event on July 22 and 23rd at The Pavilion in Marion. Find more information about the event on the organizations website. www.simade.org
