L.E. Bond
SIU ReviewsL. E. Bond is a doctoral candidate in the College of Mass Communication and Media Arts at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. Her movie critiques are a featured segment of SIU Reviews on WSIU Public Radio.
L. E.’s area of study is focused on the representation of women in male-dominated genres – such as action, adventure, gangster and horror – from a historical and socio-political perspective. Her research interests also include a focus on screenwriting and screenwriters, including the history, industrial practices, the links to genre and narrative theory, and the connection to authorship.
L. E. has a MFA in Film from Columbia University’s School of the Arts in New York City. She continues to pursue her artistic screenwriting endeavors while pursing her scholarly interests.
