Harold Visser says there's no place for violence or threats in the race

A candidate for mayor in Carbondale has filed a police report - after a threat against him was posted online.

Harold Visser says he filed the report after a user in an online poll for his campaign answered the question "What would you like to change about Carbondale?" with "kill you."

Visser says there is no room for violence or threats in this race. He says he understands strong opinions, but says the comment crossed the line.

Visser faces current Mayor pro tem Carolin Harvey in the April fourth election.
