12TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

Incumbent republican Mike Bost will square off with democrat Brian Roberts in November after both won their party’s nomination in the primary.

Bost defeated challenger Darren Bailey as he tries to retain the U.S. Representative’s seat he has held since the 2014 election.

Roberts, a Carbondale attorney, received more votes than Preston Nelson on the democrat side.

58TH STATE SENATE DISTRICT
Incumbent Terri Bryant defeated challenger Wesley Kash in the republican senate primary race.

116TH STATE HOUSE DISTRICT
Incumbent Dave Severin easily retained the GOP nomination in this Illinois house race over Angela Evans.

AVISTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 21

Shall the maximum annual tax rate for educational purposes for School District No. 21, Clinton and Madison Counties, Illinois, be increased and established at 1.12 percent upon all the taxable property of said School District at the value, as equalized or assessed by the Department of Revenue, instead of 0.92 percent, the present maximum rate otherwise applicable to the next taxes to be extended for said purposes?
