In unofficial results from Tuesday's municipal election in select counties across southern Illinois: (click the link on each county for complete results)

JACKSON COUNTY

In unofficial results following Tuesday's count in Jackson County,

In the race for three open seats on the Carbondale City Council, counting Election Day, Early-Grace Period and Vote By Mail ballots, the top three vote getters appear to be Dawn Roberts, Nathan Colombo and Brian Stanfield. But, there are still two outstanding precincts to be counted.

In the race for a full 4-year term on the Carbondale District 95 School Board, the candidates receiving the needed votes for election were Corey Cawthon, Catherine Field, Imani McHenry and Tangela Oliver. Again, there are two outstanding precincts.

Lance Bedar received 119 votes for Mayor of Elkville. His challenger, Matthew Pyle received 48.

Cheryl Brasel easily outdistanced Shaye Page in the race to serve a 4-year term on the Murphysboro District 186 School Board.

In the race to serve a 4-year term as a Commissioner on the Murphysboro Park District, Donald Brewer earned 198 votes to Cynthia Roberts' 162.

Voters in the Elverado School District appear to have overwhelmingly approved an $11 million dollar bond issue to build and equip a new school building to serve pre-k and eighth grade and improve school sites.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY

Danny Simmons has received the most votes for mayor of Creal Springs.

Jim "Magic" Morrison is the presumed winner for mayor of Hurst.

Johnson City Ward 3 voters said yes to Daniel Brymer.

Mike Ren, Marshall Brown, and Suzzette Coffey were the top 3 vote getters in a 6 person race for Cambria Village Trustees.

Herrin School Board elected Steve Robinson, Cynthia L. Miller, and Jon "Hutch" Hutchinson.

JEFFERSON COUNTY

Unofficial results in the race for Mayor in Mt. Vernon, incumbent John Lewis has earned 120 more votes than challenger Donte Moore.

In the 3-person race for Mt. Vernon City Council, Paul "Mike" Young and Joe Gliosci were the top vote getters for the two open spots on the council.

Voters in Mt. Vernon approved converting the city clerk's position from an elected role to a city employee and they said no to eliminating the city treasurer's position.

PERRY COUNTY

Frank Hartmann won the Cutler Village President race against Joseph Loucks.

In the Cutler Village Trustee race, Daniel Curry, Roger Koker, and Samantha Wood were the top 3 vote getters.

St. Johns Village Trustee candidates Ruth Hawkins, Nicholas Brown, and Dan Uhles won their seats.

In Tamaroa Kerri Schoenbacher won her race against Dave Keller for Village President.

In a 5 person race for Tamoroa Village Trustee Curtis Stube, Caleb Brasche, and Nancy Keller came out on top.

Nelson Knapp won his race to serve the unexpired 2-year term as Tamoroa Village Trustee.

Jessica Jung, Tracy Reed, and John Hill won their race for Willisville Village Trustee.

In the school board races,

Steve Bailey, Alaina Marlow, and Sherri Phillips won seats on the Tamaroa School Board.

For the Pinckneyville 204 School Board Matthew Heine, Michael Rakers, and Jacki Brand won seats.

Charles Woodside, Kyle Pursell, Dustin Kuhnert, and Austin Marlow will serve 4 year terms on the Pinckneyville District 50 School Board.

On the DuQuoin District 300 School Board Jason Furlow, Jim Kowzan, and Breeonna Williams won out of a field of 5 candidates.

Matthew Rodewald, Lois Jones, Amy Naile, and Michael Baker won seats on the Trico 176 School Board.

For the Ashley School District 15 School Board Jason Wisniewski, Jennifer Zgonnia, and Jeffrey Stern won seats.

In Oakdale School District 1 race for School Board the winners are Samantha Harre, Wesley Dumond, and Zachary Vahlkamp.

Wrapping up results in Perry County, Tifanie Schmale, Heather Maschhoff, Cassie Varel, and Zachary Kabat won seats on the Nashville School Board.

FRANKLIN COUNTY

In unofficial results from Franklin County, Donald Miklos received the most votes for Mayor of Christopher.

In the Benton High School School Board race, the winners are Robin Labuwi, Mark Minor, and Marci Glover.

Christopher School Board members elected include Jared Fourez, Sara Wilson, and Russell Lee Hobbs.

For Frankfort School’s Board of Education, Brian David Aaron and Jon Graskewicz were chosen. At Sesser-Valier, Dena L Kirk, Megan Rounds, Milton Leon Dilliner and Kristal "Kristie" Kelly won.

In village races: Daisy Missie Melvin has the most for Hanaford President with a 38-vote margin, Amie Monteggia won in North City, and Linda Sullivan took West City by four votes.

Again, all results are unofficial pending any outstanding mail-in ballots.

UNION COUNTY

In Jonesboro Asa Busby beat Robbie Ralls for mayor. Rodney Cross won the Jonesboro Alderman Ward 1 position.

For Cobden Village President Larry Hackethal received the most votes. He finished ahead of Brooke Miller and Troy Herrmann. Hackethal beat Miller by 30 votes, but there are still 36 mail-in ballots to be counted. According to Union County Clerk Lance Meisenheimer the race will not be official for 14 days.

Austin Sellars, Jean Britt, and David Stewart will be Coben Village Trustees

In the Dongola Village President race, Greg Corzine beat Patrick Ferguson.

Dongola Village Trustees winners were Leonard Beszczynski, Jerry Latham, and Lisa Root.

In Alto Pass, Julie Bumbart-Buck, Stephen Grimmer, and Katrina Renzaglia won the trustee race.

Randy Kram, Loretta Walls, and Ron Laster won the Mill Creek Village Trustee positions.

Moving on now to the Union County School Board races.

For the Lick Creek School Board Thomas Corbit, Joshua Schlenker, and Alfred Moutria won their race.

Roger Cannon leads the unexpired 2-year seat on the Anna-Jonesboro High School Board.

For the rest of the seats on the Anna-Jonesboro High School Board Jason Leek, Eric Massey, and Michael Housman are the top three vote getters. For the two Anna Jonesboro High School board seats there are still enough mail in ballots that Meisenheimer says these votes will not be official for 14 more days.

In the Anna District 37 School Board Lottie Smith, and Alison Smith were winners.

Daryl Barnhart and Justin Barlow won seats on the Jonesboro District 43 School Board.

On the Cobden School Board Charles Steward, Debra Penrod, Jeanne Brumleve, Kim Howell won their election.

Cherie Wright, Dana Eddleman, Philip Miller are winners for the Dongola School Board.

In the Cypress School Board race Angela Green-Rudluff, Jeffery Schultz, and Victoria Caraker are winners.

In Jonesboro the question to change the school board to at large representation did NOT pass.

"Shall the method by which members of the Board of Education of Jonesboro Community Consolidated School District No. 43, Union County, Illinois, be changed from limiting no more than 5 board members being selected from any city, village, or incorporated town to an at large method?")
