Three republican U.S. representatives from Illinois have introduced a Congressional Resolution condemning the assassination and honoring the life and legacy of Illinois native Charlie Kirk.
Congresswoman Mary Miller is joined by Congressmen Mike Bost and Darin LaHood in expressing their outrage at Kirk's killing and condolences for his wife and two young children.
Kirk, the 31-year-old CEO and co-founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, was shot while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday. It was the first stop of his American Comeback Tour.
Kirk, a close Trump ally, is credited with energizing young Republicans and helping them deliver his electoral victory in 2024. His death has drawn condolences — and condemnation of political violence — from both sides of the aisle.
